What Is Love Always Season 1 About?

Love Always follows Kannan and Manjula, a married couple who have spent 42 years together. Despite their long relationship, their marriage has become troubled by disagreements, disappointments and unresolved personal issues.

As Manjula begins questioning her future with Kannan, the possibility of separation becomes a serious matter for the family. Their relationship takes an unexpected turn when a magical incident transforms the couple into younger versions of themselves.

This unusual situation creates opportunities for new experiences while bringing their old problems into a different setting. The younger versions of the couple must navigate relationships, family situations and complicated emotions while dealing with the consequences of the magical transformation.

The story also introduces Meera, Kannan’s former lover, and other family members who contribute to the changing situations.

Direction and Production

Madhumitha created and directed Love Always, bringing the Korean webtoon Here We Go Again into a Tamil-language adaptation. Her direction combines fantasy elements with a relationship-focused storyline.

The series was produced by Kross Pictures and Guru Films. Its writing credits include Sabarivasan Shamugan, Fazal Nawab and Madhumitha.

The technical team includes cinematographer Meyyendiran, editor Radha Sridhar and music composer Girish Gopalkrishnan. Art direction was handled by Sekar Balu.

One distinctive element of the production is its use of an AI-recreated voice of the late comedian and writer Crazy Mohan. The voice is associated with a magical medallion and serves as a tribute to his contribution to Tamil comedy.
